What bore is needed for these conditions?
About Adriel Engineering
Engineering starts with a question. We’re building tools that help you explore the answer with the conditions, assumptions and method in view.

The purpose
A restriction-orifice calculation is more than a number. Pipe geometry, fluid properties, pressure conditions and units all shape what that number means.
Our aim is to bring those pieces into one understandable workflow, so engineers can spend more time reviewing the problem and less time moving between disconnected inputs and records.
Our focus
Adriel Engineering Limited is developing a dedicated restriction-orifice calculation workspace for liquid, gas and steam applications. It is organised around the questions engineers bring to the task.
What bore is needed for these conditions?
What flow passes through this orifice?
What pressure drop does this geometry produce?
The approach
We are designing the workspace around explicit units, visible assumptions and useful engineering checks. Saved calculations and report exports are intended to keep the inputs and method connected to the output.
The public calculator lets you explore the input workflow. Subscribers can calculate, save work and export reports using the documented methods. Our resources explain the approach and its limitations.
Browse engineering resourcesThe vision
Our goal is a focused workspace that makes calculations easier to follow, review and revisit. A useful tool should help you ask better questions about the process, recognise its limits and document the decisions that follow.
Software supports the work; the process conditions, assumptions and suitability of a result still need qualified review.
